Short update, I completed another semester of college. Much rejoicing.
1.) Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.
"A catastrophe is" - Pogo: We Have Met the Enemy and He Is Us by Walt Kelly. One of my Dad's old comic collections, full of political satire.
2.) Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What can you reach?
There is literally nothing to my left. My desk sits at the very far right of the basement.
3.) What is the last thing you watched on TV?
TV? Geeze, I haven't watched TV in ages. I honestly don't recall.
4.) Without looking guess what time it is?
5:54?
5.) Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?
5:46. Not great at this.
6.) With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
My brother playing Skyward Sword on the Wii. My mom and dad talking.
7.) When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
A couple hours ago. Was walking from the car into the house, after work.
8.) Before you started this survey, what did you look at?
Other peoples' versions of this survey. And my news feeds.
9.) What are you wearing?
Blue pajamas and socks with my hair down. I'm tired and relaxing after work.
10.) Did you dream last night?
Probably. I dream most nights. You know how some people never remember dreaming? Well, I remember it always right after, but especially lately, they've all become too mundane for me to remember in the long run.
11.) When did you last laugh?
Laugh? Like, not just grin, but laugh? I dunno. I don't recall if I did today. I like to laugh, but I hold myself back. A lot. I don't even remember why any more. I just do.
12.) What are on the walls you are in?
Two walls are a warm yellow like vanilla pudding on a sunny day, while the other too are fading wooden boards. A couple wall hangings sit over the wood, and the wall I face and to my left have drawings by my mother. The wall behind me has wood carvings by my grandmother. Ther's a couple shelves here with wood carvings, some of which I believe were my grandpa's.
Never anything by me in this house.
13.) Seen anything weird lately?
SHED.MOV, a bunch of clips from Freddie Got Fingered, and various SCP entries. And the contents of some of my dreams.
14.) What do you think of the person who tagged you?
Nobody tagged me. I did this of my own volition because i've been waiting for one of these for eons.
15.) What was the last film you saw?
Cabin in the Woods. Absolutely fantastic. I laughed there, for sure. What a thrill-ride. Nothing could prepare me for that.
16.) If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
A stiff drink. Then I'd call up the woman I love and tell her we need to talk. Things would change and also stay the same.
17.) Tell me something about you that I don't know?
Depending on who you are, there are a lot of things you may or may not more. If I must divulge a personal secret, I shall do so. My brother and I used to play interactive storytelling games at night. Think of it like a text adventure game mixed with D&D. Just no pens or paper. One of them, we did for years, and it became sort of a mix of the Submachine series and Myst series, with an elemental magic system. Another one we did was a lot like Torchwood meets Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
As I got older, it became harder for me to play. But it didn't get as hard for him to still play. And one day, we agreed that since I couldn't get into it any more, we might as well stop. But there's something about that which I never told him or anyone.
Some days when I lie alone in my room at night, I still wish I could.
And some days when I feel like I should create something, I want to bring them back to life.
18.) If you could change one thing about the world.
I would make more support available for men sexually abused by women, and remove the stigmas of weakness associated with it that lead them to feel weak and insecure about their personal strength.
19). What do you want to learn in the future?
How to feel alive again, for more than a couple hours.
20.) George Bush:
A step back.
21.) Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
I dunno. Elizabeth is a good name. Traditional, but can be shortened to Liz or Elisa. Also a fan of the name Seras.
22.) Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Aidan has got a good ring to it, but it's incredibly popular right now and I'd rather a name that will really stand out. I really love the name Horatio, even though CSI has turned it into a pulp-culture reference (from a naval warfare reference).
23.) Would you ever consider living abroad?
I would really like to get out of here.
24.) What do you want God to say when you reach the pearly gates?
"You did good."
